All About Me
My name is Crystal Bayley and I will
be your child’s new Third Grade teacher! I want to let you know that I am thrilled to be joining the McClure
Elementary staff to help your child grow and learn this school year. I will be
working with the wonderful Third Grade team to ensure that there is consistency
in routines and expectations so your child will be successful this year.

I was born in
Northern California but my family moved to Oregon when I was in middle school.
I have always had a passion for teaching and I knew I was going to become a
teacher after my first week of attending Kindergarten. I married my high school
sweetheart, Zach, and we are about to celebrate our 13th wedding
anniversary. We have two amazing children, Sienna (7years old) and Owen (3 ½ years
old). They are so much fun and keep us on our toes. My family moved to Texas
almost 4 years ago for my husband’s job. We absolutely love living in McKinney.
I enjoy being in the outdoors, camping, photography, martial arts, swimming
with my kids, and I am teaching myself how to sew.

In
2002 I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s degree in
Education. I taught preschool for 4 years (in California, Hawaii, and Oregon)
and then became an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher. In 2007 I received a
Master’s degree in teaching from Pacific University. I taught for 4 years while
we lived in Hillsboro, Oregon. During that time I was a Kindergarten, First,
and Second grade teacher. I love working with elementary students and enjoy
their enthusiasm for life and learning.
After
moving to Texas in 2011, I was a substitute teacher in both MISD and FISD while
I became a Certified Teacher for the state of Texas. I am dual certified in
both Oregon and Texas for teaching children in Early Childhood through 8th
grade. I hold a Supplemental ESL Certificate and I am qualified to teach Gifted
and Talented students. This will be my second year at McClure and
I am very excited to be part of an amazing staff and community.
