Science-Measuring Force

During our Science lessons this week the class had the opportunity to rotate to each of the 3rd grade teachers' classrooms. Each teacher taught a different lessons and the students learned about different simple machines.

My class was measuring force with a spring scale. They used trucks pulled up inclined planes. They tested to see if more force was used when an object was pulled on its side or its wheels.

Thanksgiving Lunch

This month we are focusing on the Character Strength of Gratitude. I am so very thankful and grateful for all of my students and their family members. I have received so much support and positive comments since I started teaching at McClure. I have been blessed with the most amazing group of kids and I am so thankful that I get to spend this entire year learning along with them.

My students are kind, caring, helpful, smart, funny, generous, thoughtful, hard workers. My list can go on and on. I am so lucky to have such an amazing group of children and parents this year.

THANK YOU!

Here are some pictures from the Thanksgiving Lunch today. Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate. It was over in the blink of an eye, but I know that the kids had a great time!

Veteran's Day

Due to the cold weather, the Veteran's Day Parade was moved indoors. It was amazing to see so many members of our community who have served in a branch of the military.

Thank you to all of those who have helped to keep our country safe and free!

Area-written by Tyson

Today we learned about area. My teacher Mrs. Bayley told us about counting the area of a rectangle. I thought it was super fun! Mrs. Bayley gave us a paper to work on area. Then we did a paper in our math books. It was another fantastic day in math.
